How to Submit a Warranty Claim:

  1. Log In: Visit the customer portal and enter your order number, and contact information associated with your purchase. 
  2. Select Claim Item: Ensure only the item you are submitting a warranty claim for is selected. If you have more than one claim, or have other exchange needs, an additional request is required for each item.
  3. Return Reason: Select Warranty Claim: Fill out the warranty claim form including the following details / attachments. Please include all required information. Failure to provide adequate details may result in your claim being denied:
  • Description of the defect / how damage occurred
  • 3-5 photos of the defective product / damage

  1. Resolution: Please select “replace with the same item” as the warranty claim resolution. Ensure the same product/ size as the original purchase is selected.

    Failure to select the same item while it is in stock and available will result in your claim being denied.

    In the event the same item, size, and color as your original purchase is not in stock and available please select “Refund to store credit” as the claim resolution instead.

    Upon claim approval credit will be issued to purchase equivalent replacement item, including taxes fees, and shipping costs.(ONLY for replacement item. If additional items are purchased at the time replacement item credit is used shipping fees will apply when applicable for other items in your cart).

  2. Submit for approval. A team member will review your claim and respond with a resolution within 7 days of your claim submission.




D1 Glove Guarantee: Batting Gloves (100 Days)

Coverage:

  • Manufacturing Defects: This warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship under normal use during the warranty period.
  • Duration: 100 days from the date of original purchase..
  • Exclusions: Expected wear and tear, damage due to improper use, accidental damage, unauthorized repairs or modifications, and cosmetic damage not affecting functionality.

Covered Damages:

Seams and Stitching:

  • Example: If the fingers come apart at the stitching due to a defect in the seam.
  • Explanation: This indicates a manufacturing defect where the stitching has failed under normal use conditions.

Material Defects:

  • Example: If the leather splits or cracks prematurely due to natural material imperfections.
  • Explanation: This shows a defect in the material used, which should withstand normal use without such issues.

Logo Detachment:

  • Example: If the logo or branding on the glove becomes detached.
  • Explanation: This is a manufacturing defect where the adhesive or stitching used to attach the logo has failed.

Velcro Strap Failure:

  • Example: If the Velcro strap does not stick or loses its grip significantly within the warranty period.
  • Explanation: This is a defect in the fastening mechanism, which should maintain its function under normal use.
  1. Padding or Liner Issues:
  • Example: If the padding inside the glove shifts or deteriorates quickly.
  • Explanation: This indicates a defect in the construction of the glove's interior, affecting comfort and performance.





D1 Glove Guarantee: Fielding Gloves (12 Months)

Coverage:

  • Manufacturing Defects: This warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship under normal use during the warranty period.
  • Duration: 365 days from the date of original purchase..
  • Exclusions: Expected wear and tear, damage due to improper use, accidental damage, unauthorized repairs or modifications, and cosmetic damage not affecting functionality.

Covered Damages:

Seams and Stitching:

  • Example: If the glove fingers or webbing come apart at the stitching due to a defect.
  • Explanation: This suggests a failure in the stitching process, which should remain intact during normal use.

Leather Quality:

  • Example: If the leather cracks or splits prematurely under normal use conditions.
  • Explanation: This indicates a defect in the leather quality or treatment, which should not degrade quickly.

Webbing Failure:

  • Example: If the webbing between the thumb and forefinger detaches or breaks.
  • Explanation: This is a manufacturing defect where the webbing should remain secure under normal play conditions.

Lining Issues:

  • Example: If the inner lining of the glove shifts, bunches, or deteriorates quickly.
  • Explanation: This indicates a construction defect in the glove's interior, affecting fit and comfort.
  1. Logo or Branding Detachment:
  • Example: If the logo or branding on the glove becomes detached.
  • Explanation: This shows a failure in the attachment process of the logo, which should remain secure under normal use.



Warranty Policy:

All warranty claims must be submitted via the customer exchange portal.

Claim requests must include all requested information to be accepted.

Claims must be submitted correctly to be accepted.

Failure to follow claim instructions will result in your claim being denied: a new claim will be required to continue your request.

Claims MUST be submitted within the coverage period. Coverage begins on original date of delivery. Claims submitted on 101+ days past original purchase delivery date will NOT be accepted.

Customer service agents are not able to override the system as it adheres to these policies, nor can they make any exceptions to policy guidelines, coverage dates, or claim analysis and approval processes.

Customer service is unable to make any changes to claim requests. If a claim is submitted incorrectly, a new claim is required to continue the claims process. Your previous incorrect or incomplete claim will be automatically denied by our system, and your new, complete, and accurate claim submission will be evaluated by our team within 7 days of submission date.

In the event a claim is submitted on day 100 (the final date of coverage) and your claim is denied for missing information, or incorrect submission, you will NOT be able to submit an additional claim the following day (day 101) even though your original request was within the coverage dates. Please ensure you plan accordingly when submitting your request, and you do so accurately according to our policies.

Review Process:

Once a warranty claim is submitted, given order information was provided, clear photos accurately depicting a valid warranty claim were uploaded, and it is within the coverage eligibility period, a team member will review your claim and evaluate the evidence you have provided to make a determination within 7 days of the date of claim submission.

Once a determination has been made, you will receive information regarding the outcome and resolution of your claim via email.

Possible resolution outcomes:

- Approved: Replacement item order will be fulfilled to your original order shipping address.
- Approved: Return label will be issued to ship item to be repaired. (Fielding gloves)
- Claim Denied (Damage is not covered)
- Claim Denied (Missing/ Invalid Claim Information)
- Claim In Review (Requesting additional information)

If approved, the replacement order will automatically be fulfilled with the same item as the original purchase shipped to the address associated with the original order number.

Shipping:

All replacement items must be shipped to the same address and recipient as the original order associated with the warranty claim.

In the event you no longer reside at the original shipping address, customer service agents can assist you (support@thed1athletics.com) in making an exception to ship to a new address. When a shipping address exception is made, a photo ID will be required to be shown at delivery matching the name of the recipient on your original order.

If you are unable to receive your package at the same address, AND a photo ID matching the name on your order cannot be provided to verify ownership at time of delivery at a new address, we will be unable to approve and process your warranty claim.




Claim Resolution: APPROVED: REPLACEMENT ITEM:

Replacement item does NOT carry extended coverage. Warranty coverage applies only to dates of purchase. Dates of replacement items issued do not affect coverage period, nor does it extend coverage

Replacement items are eligible for warranty claims only within the original coverage period. In the event a replacement item is issued on day 60/100, and a manufacturing error occurs, the replacement item remains eligible for an additional replacement for the remaining 40 day duration according to the date of purchase on the original item.  

Replacement items provided must be equivalent to the original item purchased.Under no circumstances will replacement items be provided in different size variants.In the event this item is out of stock, we will issue a store credit for the cost of receiving the replacement item including taxes, and shipping fees.This credit will only apply to the purchase of the specific variants approved for your replacement. The system will return an error message that your credit is invalid if you have not selected the correct approved replacement options.(If your claim is on a pair of youth small batting gloves, the system will not allow your credit to be applied to a pair of youth medium batting gloves. However it will not restrict color options.) Customer service agents are not able to override system errors that occur in accordance with these policies, nor can they make any exceptions deviating from these policies in order to apply replacement credit to any purchase other than for that replacement item. Please allow appropriate expected shipping lengths according to expected replacement items.(For example: a custom fielding glove replacement will be the same length of fulfillment as an original custom order. Roughly 6-8 weeks.)

Claim Resolution: APPROVED: REPAIR ITEM:

D1 Athletics employs a team of glove experts that are trained and specialize in glove repair, relacing, care and maintenance. In some cases upon evaluation of warranty claims submitted on fielding gloves, we may reach the determination that a glove repair service is the best resolution to your claim. You will receive a shipping label via email to send in your glove to our facility. This will provide you and our team with a tracking number. Please ensure your glove is clean and protected in it’s packaging. We will not be liable for any damages your glove encounters during transit. In the event upon physical inspection our team makes the determination to replace your item vs repair it you will be notified via email. Custom Order Standard Shipping ( 6-8 weeks ) applies when replacing a custom fielding glove.In the event a catalog glove is not in stock, custom glove standard shipping dates will apply.
